Wounded and Fallen Veterans Event

May 2019

One of the key values of Aldez is our dedication to Veterans.  We’re a proud certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business and we firmly believe that actions are what best demonstrate our commitment to giving back to veterans that make sacrifices for our country.  For that reason Aldez is committed to providing jobs to Veterans. But, that’s not all we do.

Recently, we were happy to support the 7th annual Honoring our Heroes Gala at the MotorCity Casino Hotel in Detroit. The event was held in support of two very important Veterans’ organizations: The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation and The Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund of Michigan. Our Aldez employee, Jen Knobel, attended on our behalf, getting to meet country singer Lee Brice and represent Aldez when we were recognized for our donation.

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation works to build custom-designed and mortgage-free homes for Veterans with catastrophic and life-altering injuries. Their organization sets itself apart from others as it continuously commits to providing houses that former service members can afford and maintain.

The Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund of Michigan (FWSF) helps to ease the financial burden that many wounded soldiers come home to. Known for their rapid response,, the FWSF secures funds to cover a veteran’s bills within one week. They serve all 83 counties in Michigan and have helped over 1300 veterans to date.

As a Veteran, I stand for support and praise for our Veterans and I’m proud that Aldez is able to contribute to positively impacting the lives of soldiers returning to the home they fought for.  If you’re interested in supporting veterans, I’ve linked these organizations in this post so you can support them directly.
